This is not a post I want to be writing.
Today I had a meeting with my financial advisor as I figured now I'm on the road to recovery it's time to get my affairs in order.
Over this last year I've put my absolute all into making The Sara's Hope Trust be a safe place for everyone to come and get advice, and follow my story,
I'd paved the way to become a small unregistered charity and finally showed you all that with perseverance surgery IS an option.
However this came at a cost to me and Oli financially.
Whilst we raised the money I needed for surgery within 5 months, we footed the bill for other things like marketing, branding, website design, wristbands, t-shirts and anything else I needed for the charity all with the intent that a little investment would make my dream of being tumour free come true.
And it did. I stand here tumour free today.
This was 100% my passion project. It kept me alive through many dark moments and the thought of now loosing all the hard work I've put into this makes me feel physically sick. However financially we just can't sustain keeping up with it anymore.
After assessment with my advisor, they have recommended I take a Debt Relief Order or Bankruptcy due to my health. As it will have completed by the time my PIP is up for renewal. Rather than struggle on trying to put everyone else first.
Today I'm a little more broken inside knowing that I didn't get to keep my promise to you all.
But - We currently have a whopping £1720 in the account to give out before we close.
So i will be looking for a suitable brain tumour charity to send the rest of the money in our account to.
Any recommendations are welcome.
I want to take this moment to thank each and everyone of you for the love and support you have shown me throughout this process.
Much love.
Sara xx

In 2026 we will be opening our books for aplications to see who we can help Please note, we will only work with people who have a neurologist currently. This means you need to have been seen by a UK neurosurgeon or neurologist and spoken with them about your complex symptoms. We will not be taking on anyone who has not been to their gp, not seen or recieved a referral to a UK hospital previously. This service is for second opinions and onwards only. Its also only for help with the pineal gland. Unfortunately we cannot help with other cysts at this stage.
